In its 2025 evaluation of online higher education, Newsweek — in collaboration with global data research firm Statista — has ranked Oklahoma State University at No. 19 among America's Top Online Colleges.
This recognition places OSU among the leading institutions nationwide for online learning.
The rankings were determined through a comprehensive survey of over 10,000 individuals in the U.S. who have utilized online courses to earn academic degrees or enhance professional skills. Institutions were evaluated based on several criteria: organization, support, price, reputation, success, recommendation, practical relevance and overall satisfaction.
"We are honored to be recognized as one of America's leading online education providers," said Brenda Dawes, associate director of academic programs for OSU Online. "This ranking reflects our dedication to delivering flexible, high-quality educational opportunities that meet the evolving needs of our students."
OSU's commitment to providing high-quality online education is further highlighted by its standing within the Big 12 Conference, where it ranks among the top three institutions offering online programs.
"This recognition by Newsweek is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, staff and students in making OSU Online a leader in online education," said Dr. Chris Ormsbee, vice provost and director of OSU Online. "Our goal has always been to deliver transformative learning experiences that empower students to achieve their academic and professional goals, no matter where they are in the world."
This accolade reflects OSU's dedication to delivering accessible and exceptional online learning opportunities, catering to a diverse student body seeking flexible education solutions.
