Friday, October 9, 2015

National Veterinary Technician Week is Oct. 11-17, 2015, and a great time to say ‘thank you’ to the registered veterinary technicians (RVT) and veterinary assistants at OSU’s Veterinary Medical Hospital.

Technicians and assistants are critical to the daily function of veterinary hospitals and practices. They serve similar roles as nurses in human medicine working hand-in-hand with veterinarians.

“Our registered veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants do an outstanding job caring for our hospital patients and providing compassionate care for our clients,” said Dr. Mark Neer, director of OSU’s Veterinary Medical Hospital. “We appreciate their dedication and commitment to excellence each and every day.”

Working at OSU’s hospital are the following RVTs: Mayte Aleman-Carter, Juli Allen, Karen Anderson, Judy Branson, Stephen Dilday, Lisa Gallery, Torie Garnatz, Lexi Green, Traci Grennan, Robin Hensley, Justin Hicks, Dianne Hudson, Ian Kanda, Kristal Lee, Miranda Maschek, Shannon Maxwell, Carey McCully, Suzanne McKenzie, Tracie Merrill, Kristin Nahs, Shalee Ratliff, Jennifer Sisk-Miley, Jessica Smith, Delicia Timmons, Ashley Wick, Dennis Wilbourn, and Sharon Wells.

Serving in the veterinary assistant role are: Jamie Diede, Tammy Garcia, Lauren Holmes, John Horne, Brandy Hutchings, Mallory Kittle, Sue Mott, Marla Nelson, Carolyn Rodebush, Susanne Short, Maranda Skaggs, Jennifer Smith, Spring Smith, Anna Soto and Tatyana Zaleski.
