Veterinary Voices: Recognition and Prevention of Dental Disease in Pets

(Stillwater, Okla., January 13, 2015) – In recognition of National Pet Dental Health Month, the Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences is offering a free Veterinary Voices seminar on dental disease in pets on Tuesday, Feb. 3, beginning at 7 p.m.
Dr. David Russell, adjunct professor and owner of Veterinary Dental Center of Tulsa, will provide pet owners with tips on how to recognize and prevent dental disease in dogs and cats.
Dr. Russell earned his veterinary degree from Oklahoma State in 1997. He went on to complete a rigorous dental residency and credentialing process passing the examination to become a Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry and a diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College. Dr. Russell sees veterinary dentistry patients on Thursdays at OSU’s Veterinary Medical Hospital as he shares his expertise with fourth year veterinary students learning about veterinary dental care.
The Veterinary Voices seminar is open to the public at no charge. The presentation will be held in McElroy Hall auditorium located at the corner of West Farm Road and McFarland on the OSU Stillwater campus. Complimentary parking and light refreshments will be available.
