The Public is Invited to Open House 2017
Thursday, February 23, 2017
The public is invited to visit Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences during its Annual Open House on Saturday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admittance is free. No personal pets are allowed. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The center is located at the corner of McFarland and West Farm Road on the OSU Stillwater campus.
Coordinated by veterinary students, the event is designed to showcase Oklahoma’s veterinary college, which is one of only 30 in the United States. Pet owners, those interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine, and anyone who wants to learn more about veterinary medicine are encouraged to attend. Discover the facilities and technologies available to treat fur babies, exotic pets, and livestock.
Visitors will enjoy agility demos, tours of the OSU Veterinary Medical Hospital, face painting, equine treadmill demos, Oklahoma City Disc Dogs, and Teddy Bear Surgery where children can repair torn stuffed animals. Dogs available for adoption will be on hand. Attendees may purchase OSU veterinary medicine apparel and bid on silent auction items to benefit Oklahoma’s wildlife.
