The Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences recently hit record attendance for its 2017 Annual Open House. Approximately 1,400 people visited the veterinary center to learn more about veterinary medicine, see what tomorrow’s veterinarians are learning, participate in hands-on activities, and more.

Each year the veterinary students put together a day of fun-filled learning experiences, live animal demonstrations and self-guided tours of the center’s Veterinary Medical Hospital. The admissions team hosts presentations on what it takes to get accepted into veterinary college for prospective students. You can even see animals up for adoption from the local shelter.

Visitors also had the opportunity to help care for Oklahoma’s wildlife treated at OSU’s Veterinary Medical Hospital. The Zoo, Exotic and Wildlife Student Club held a silent auction with all proceeds benefitting the Wildlife Care Fund. Thank you to all who participated raising $1,710 to medically and surgically treat injured wildlife.
