OSU Animal Relief Fund Makes Treating Animal Fire Victims Possible
Thursday, April 19, 2018
Thanks to generous donors, who gave to the OSU Animal Relief Fund, three animal fire victims are currently being treated at no cost to their owners at Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences.
A horse from Woodward, Okla., and two horses from the Seiling, Okla., area are currently being treated for massive burns to their bodies and for smoke inhalation. The Woodward horse came in on April 12 and the other two arrived on April 13.
Established in 2013 following the Oklahoma tornados, the OSU Animal Relief Fund helps pay for the surgical and veterinary medical treatment of animals, both small and large, hurt in any Oklahoma disaster.
If you have an animal injured in these current fires, please call 405-744-7000 to make an appointment. If you would like to support the OSU Animal Relief Fund to help ensure any animal in need is cared for, please call 405-385-5170 or donate online at OSU Animal Relief Fund.
