Student spotlight: Brittany Perron

Friday, October 21, 2016

Meet Brittany Perron, animal science senior and OSU Rodeo Team President. Brittany grew up in Los Alamos, CA, and started to rodeo when she was 12. Her passion for rodeo, equine and agriculture brought her to OSU. She will be graduating May 2017 with a degree in animal science and agricultural economics. Upon graduation, she intends to pursue her master’s degree in equine nutrition. Her favorite part about the animal science department is the culture. “I love it here because OSU and the animal science department make me feel at home, especially being an out-of-state student,” Brittany said. “It’s easy to fit in here with the family-friendly atmosphere and like-minded peers.”

Brittany will be breakaway roping and goat tying this weekend at the Cowboy Stampede, held at the Payne County Fairgrounds. The OSU Rodeo Team and the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources is set to host the Cowboy Stampede Oct. 20-22, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale at Cavender’s or at rodeo.okstate.edu. Come support Brittany and the rest of the OSU Rodeo Team!
