2017 NRHA Champions

The OSU Horse Judging Team ended the year earning top honors at the National Reining
Horse Association (NRHA) Collegiate Judging Contest. This select team of five students
prepared all semester for the reining competition which took place Nov. 28-29 in Oklahoma
City. The team completed a written judge’s exam, evaluated video penalty clips, and
scored twenty of the world’s highest caliber reining horses in the NRHA Futurity Open Semi-Finals.
In addition to winning NRHA Champion Senior College Team, all five students placed
in the top ten individually. Team members include Dylan Price from Norris City, IL
(2nd overall), Rebecca Janes from Peotone, IL (3rd overall), Nicole Wurzel from Hanford,
CA (5th overall), Hana Murphy from Nelsonville, MO (8th overall), and Rachel Scott
from Georgetown, TX (10th overall) and was coached by Natalie Baker. Congratulations
