Tuesday, December 12, 2017

Mike Schnelle, Charles and Linda Shackelford Endowed Professor of Floriculture in Oklahoma State University’s Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, is part of a team that was recently named a finalist for the Texas Environmental Excellence Award.

As a member of the Texas A&M Extension National Earth-Kind Environmental Initiative Team, Schnelle served as a landscape plant materials consultant at the first-ever Earth-Kind Landscape Design and Management School in Oklahoma City. He also has an extraordinary record of extending Earth-Kind principles and practices to many foreign countries, several of which are in very dangerous areas of the world.

The Texas Environmental Excellence Award is the highest environmental honor given by the state of Texas.
