Ranjith Ramanathan receives Education Award

On February 6th, 2017, Dr. Ranjith Ramanathan was recognized with the 2017 Outstanding Young Animal Scientist - Education Award at the Southern Section of the American Society of Animal Science Meeting in Franklin, TN.
Dr. Ramanathan is an assistant professor (65% teaching and 35% research appointment) in the Oklahoma State University Department of Animal Science. He coordinates the department's undergraduate research scholar program and teaches Fundamentals of Food Science, Food chemistry 1, Food Chemistry 2, Analysis of Food Products, and Advanced Food Chemistry.
Graduate students Adam McGee and Courtney Spencer were also recognized at the event. McGee placed 1st in the Ph.D. Division and Spencer placed 2nd in the Masters’ Division of the Graduate Student Competition at the Southern Section of the American Society of Animal Science meeting in Franklin, TN. Both students are conducting research under the direction of Dr. Dave Lalman.
