OSU Purebred Beef Center Wins at 2018 NWSS

Well after all the dust has settled, I’m still having a hard time coming up with the words to say about an incredible week. I wanna thank the crew that went with me Clay Daily, Katie Friederichs, and Sadie Reddick sure enough busted their tails every day!! Also thanks to my wife Summer Leister for tagging along and helping out wherever we needed her for a few days!

We ended up with EARLY WINTER CALF CHAMPION in the Angus sale bull show and he sold to Brady Angus Farm in Illinois!! We also were fortunate to have CHAMPION PEN OF THREE HEIFERS with our three flushmate sisters by Barstow cash.

I want to thank Asa Kirby and his crew for holding down the fort in sub zero temperatures while we were gone and calving a majority of the spring cows and heifers! Thanks to Ky Stierwalt for helping clip everything before Denver, and also all your help while in Denver!

This place is built on the support of alumni and tradition of excellence! It was awesome to hear all the positive comments about how well the cattle were presented and how incredible the students were. That is why we have the greatest beef center in the country and it makes my job easy!
