Monday, February 9, 2015

Spears School Hall of Fame sealThe business school at Oklahoma State University is now accepting nominations for its annual Spears School of Business Hall of Fame and Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

The annual Spears School Hall of Fame Banquet on Nov. 6, will recognize individuals who have distinguished themselves in their professional careers, displayed effective leadership, made exemplary contributions to their communities and freely given meritorious service to others. Induction into the Hall of Fame is the highest honor the school can bestow to an individual. The Hall of Fame is open to both Spears School alumni and friends of the school.

“This event gives us the opportunity to recognize our alums for their personal and professional success,” Ken Eastman, dean of the Spears School, said. “At the ceremony we laud both those who are showing great early career success and those who have a well-established track record of excellence. We are proud of what are alums have achieved and we welcome the opportunity to share their accomplishments with others.”

The Spears School Hall of Fame was initiated in 1964 to recognize and honor Oklahoma State business graduates and friends of the school. In 2001, the Outstanding Young Alumni award was established to recognize alumni who have provided significant service and achievement early in their professional careers.

The Outstanding Young Alumni award is to identify and recognize recent graduates of the Spears School who are on a fast pace to a successful career. These individuals must be under the age of 35, and have been successful at OSU and in their careers.

Nominations for both awards are due Feb. 27. For a full list of nomination requirements or to make a nomination visit spears.okstate.edu/alumni/honors/halloffame/
