OSU President Burns Hargis and First Cowgirl Ann Hargis celebrate 10 years

Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis and First Cowgirl Ann Hargis celebrated 10 years of leadership at OSU this year. Hargis was unanimously chosen by the Oklahoma State University/A&M Board of Regents as the 18th president of Oklahoma State University in December 2007 and officially took office on March 10, 2008.

During Hargis' presidency, OSU has set historic enrollment and fundraising records, with pledges and monetary surpassing the Branding Success campaign $1 billion goal, nearly two years ahead of schedule. These funds have provided scholarships, faculty endowments and funding support for facilities and other vital programs.

Also during Hargis' presidency, OSU has gain 67 thousand new donors with 200 of that new $1 million-plus donors, record-breaking enrollment, a 73 percent increase in minority student enrollment and a pet therapy program, Pete's Pet Posse, with 64 dogs.

Students, faculty, staff and other members of the Cowboy family were invited to a celebration in honor of the historic event on March 9.
