National scholarships dates/deadlines for continuing OSU students

Returning Oklahoma State University students who are looking for help to pay for their education can apply now for scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Deadlines and key dates for prominent national scholarships are as follows:

September:

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship: Applications open in September, deadline is Oct. 13. Applicants notified in December with scholars selected in January.

The Goldwater Scholarship: Requires institutional nomination, which is available until Oct. 25. Scholars are selected in March.

October:

The Truman Scholarship: Requires institutional nomination, which is available until Oct. 25. Deadline is Feb. 2 Scholars are selected in April. 

The Udall Scholarship: Requires institutional nomination, which is available until Oct. 25. Deadline is early 2022. Scholars are selected in May.

The Knight-Hennessy Scholarship: Applications are open now and due on Oct. 6. No institutional endorsement required.

For next year:

It is never too early to start thinking ahead about scholarships. These prestigious scholarship applications are due summer of 2022. All of these require institutional nomination.

The Marshall Scholarship:  Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Up to fifty Scholars are selected each year to study at graduate level at an UK institution in any field of study.

The Mitchell Scholarship: The Mitchell Scholarship is designed to introduce and connect future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognizing and fostering academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to public service.

The Rhodes Scholarship: The Rhodes Trust is an educational charity which supports exceptional students from around the world to study at the University of Oxford.
