The Eddie Sutton Foundation has announced the inaugural four winners of the Eddie Sutton 6th Man Scholarship Award to recognize students who are cancer survivors or who have faced a cancer diagnosis with a family member.
Country music superstar and OSU alumnus Garth Brooks returned to campus April 14-15 to perform two concerts to support student scholarships at The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts.
Longtime Ardmore residents Dr. James and Regina Turrentine have pledged $500,000 to the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine to establish scholarships for Oklahoma students with a preference for those from Ardmore, Stigler and the surrounding counties.
The candidates were judged in four categories: the private interview and talent portion are both 35% of the final score, and the onstage questioning and red carpet walk both make up 15% of the final score.
Scholarship deadlines are right around the corner for returning Oklahoma State University students who are looking for help to pay for their education.
