Wednesday, April 18, 2018

The Oklahoma State University Center for Research on STEM Teaching and Learning (CRSTL) will offer a year-long professional development opportunity for 150 teachers using the Open-Up Resources mathematics curriculum. The training is targeted to support teachers as they engage their students in instructional experiences aligned to the Oklahoma Standards for Mathematics.

OSU College of Education, Health and Aviation faculty members, Dr. Juliana Utley and Mr. John Weaver, received a funding contract from the Oklahoma State Department of Education to make this training available to Oklahoma teachers.

Training will include two professional development days during the summer, followed by nine online training modules during the 2018-19 academic year. Participants will receive 30 hours of professional development at a cost of $100 per teacher. Registration is open to sixth, seventh and eighth grade teachers, and space is limited to the first 50 teachers at each grade level.

Registration is now open.
