Moghaddam Wins People’s Choice at OSU President’s Fellows Grand Three Minute Challenge

Friday, April 27, 2018

Masoud Moghaddam, Ph.D. student in health and human performance, won the People’s Choice Award and a $2,000 cash prize at the President’s Fellows Grand Three Minute Challenge (3MC) on April 24. Moghaddam has now won People’s Choice at all three competitions he participated in this year using his research presentation, “Move Out of Your Comfort Zone: High Intensity Interval Training Delays Early Muscle Aging.”

Moghaddam previously placed first and received the People’s Choice Award at the college-level Three Minute Thesis® (3MT®) event in October. From there, he went on to represent the College of Education, Health and Aviation in the 3MT® final competition hosted by the OSU Graduate College in November.

The 3MC celebrates the success of the 3MT® and Three Minute Presentation (3MP) in a head-to-head competition of winners from both events.  Participants are judged on communication style, comprehension and engagement. The event is sponsored by the OSU Presidential Fellows, which is a unique society made up of passionate and loyal OSU alumni and supporters.
