EHA Honors Oklahoma Teachers with an Outreach Fee Waiver for Online Graduate Programs

Monday, June 11, 2018

As a way to honor and incentivize teachers who want to further their education, the Oklahoma State University College of Education, Health and Aviation (EHA) is now offering outreach fee waivers for all current Oklahoma teachers enrolled in an online graduate degree seeking program. This, along with the distance fee waiver already in place, gives Oklahoma teachers a discount of nearly $130 per credit hour when pursuing an online EHA graduate degree. This equals a total savings of more than $4,500 for teachers enrolled in a 36 credit hour master’s degree program.

“As a land-grant institution part of our mission is to promote learning and enrich lives,” said John Romans, dean of the College of Education, Health and Aviation. “We are proud to offer this opportunity to Oklahoma teachers who invest in our communities and dedicate their lives to empowering others through education. It’s important that OSU continues preparing and producing highly qualified teachers so our children receive the best education possible.”

Online course offerings and fully online graduate degree programs within EHA have recently expanded to include:

“Currently, most of the students who apply to our program are Oklahoma teachers,” said Sheri Vasinda, reading and literacy program coordinator. “All of our courses are offered completely online, so the online fee waiver is an attractive selling point for our program. My hope is for teachers interested in becoming a reading specialist or literacy coach to see that our dynamic, nationally accredited program is an affordable and convenient option.”

In addition to online programs, EHA offers a diverse range of master’s, doctoral, specialist and certificate programs. A complete list of graduate degree options can be found here and students can apply online now for Fall 2018 admission. For more information, please email eha.grad.studies@okstate.edu.
