Adrienne Sanogo Appointed Associate Dean

Dr. Adrienne Sanogo has been appointed the College of Education, Health and Aviation’s Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Sanogo, associate professor in mathematics education, has been a member of the OSU faculty since 2009.

Sanogo has served the college in a variety of roles, including associate school head, director of the Randall and Carol White Reading and Mathematics Center, chair of the International Student Teaching Committee and program coordinator for the Master of Science in Teaching, Learning and Leadership and the Master of Arts in Teaching. Most recently, Dr. Sanogo served as the interim head of the School of Teaching, Learning and Educational Sciences.

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Sanogo in this role,” says John Romans, dean.  “Under her leadership, we will work to grow and strengthen our undergraduate and graduate programs as well as focus on recruitment and retention efforts. Dr. Sanogo has a long-standing commitment to social justice, diversity and student success. She brings great enthusiasm and a unique perspective to the team.”

Her research, teaching and service focuses developing innovative ways to engage students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) initiatives.

Sanogo earned a Ph.D. in Professional Education Studies, option in science and mathematics education from OSU in 2009. She also holds a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from OSU.

Sanogo takes over the administrative role for Jenn Sanders, who served as Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the past year. Sanders returns to her position as head of the School of Teaching, Learning and Educational Sciences.
