Oklahoma State University commemorated Staff Celebration Day at Boone Pickens Stadium on Wednesday with barbecue food for all to enjoy, BB the miniature horse on hand to greet attendees and local business booths set up to give away free items.

Faculty in the College of Education, Health and Aviation are participating in the 2019 STEM for All Video Showcase funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) May 13-20. The team’s three-minute video, “Towards Increasing Native American Engineering Faculty,” highlights research about the factors that promote Native Americans’ entry and persistence into engineering and the engineering professorate.

OSU leads efforts to improve students’ math success at all Oklahoma colleges

For students who struggle in math, it doesn’t matter which of the 27 public institutions governed by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education they attend. With the help of a team of mathematicians from Oklahoma State University, all of the colleges are working together to improve student success in entry-level math courses, and the pilot results have been astounding.

New assistant vice president for research compliance

Dr. Dawn Underwood has been named the new OSU Assistant Vice President for Research Compliance. Most recently, Underwood served as the Assistant Vice President for Research at Chapman University in Orange, Calif. Prior to that, she served as the Associate Dean for Sponsored Programs in the College of Graduate and Professional Studies at Indiana State University. Her work in research administration spans nearly two decades overseeing sponsored programs, grants and compliance programs.
