U.S. News & World Report ranks CEAT among 2025 Best Graduate Schools

Oklahoma State University’s College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology has been ranked No. 106 among the 2025 Best Engineering Schools by U.S. News & World Report.
Designed for prospective students looking to further their education beyond college, the Best Graduate Schools rankings evaluate programs in a variety of disciplines, including business, education, engineering, law, medicine and nursing.
The college has risen five spots from last year’s ranking of 111. Additionally, several of CEAT’s engineering disciplines performed well, giving them competitive placements in the national rankings.
- Industrial Engineering and Management saw the most significant rise, climbing six spots to No. 30.
- Chemical Engineering improved five spots to No. 85.
- Civil Engineering moved up four spots to No. 73.
- Materials Science and Engineering also saw a five-spot increase, ranking No. 91.
- Aerospace Engineering ranked No. 56
- Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering maintained its strong position at No. 20.
- Petroleum Engineering program remained steady at No. 16.
- Electrical Engineering ranked No. 122.
- Mechanical Engineering remained in the top 100 at No. 91. remained in the top 100 at No. 91.
“Our rise in national standing accompanies recent successes — the hiring of five research-active associate professors in addition to assistant professors, 20% increase of research expenditures and 25% increase of new students over the previous year," CEAT Dean Hanchen Huang said. "With this rise, CEAT is even better positioned to fulfill our A&M mission to educate engineering leaders, train workforce and drive Oklahoma’s economic development.”
By collecting graduate school data annually, U.S. News can present the most current figures on enrollment, job attainment, faculty and other critical quality indicators that help prospective students make informed decisions.
