College of Arts and Sciences boasts 12 of 51 OSU Seniors of Significance for 2025-26

Of the 51 Oklahoma State University Seniors of Significance named by the OSU Alumni Association this week, twelve are College of Arts and Sciences students. The Seniors of Significance Award recognizes students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership and service to campus and community and have brought distinction to OSU.

New endowed chair announced for Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders

On Jan. 26, the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Oklahoma State University announced the addition of a new endowed chair thanks to the Edward E. and Helen T. Bartlett Foundation. The new chair is the fifth endowed faculty position at OSU committed by the foundation. The Bartlett Foundation previously established the Harrison I. Bartlett Chair in Chemistry; the Edward E. Bartlett Professorship of Pedagogy in Chemistry; the Edward E. Bartlett Professorship of Pedagogy in Integrative Biology; and the Bartlett Chair in Chemical Engineering.

CDIS major named Fall 2022 CAS Orange Gown Graduate

The College of Arts and Sciences has once again selected an impressive student to be the December 2022 Orange Gown Graduate. Liesl Melnick, communication sciences and disorders major and psychology minor, will wear the bright orange robe at commencement on Dec. 17 in recognition of her achievements as an Oklahoma State University undergraduate.

Research hopes to find new ways for people to communicate and control their differences and disorders
