Dr. Eric Benton and Ph.D. student Tristen Lee from Oklahoma State University’s Department of Physics within the College of Arts and Sciences have been waiting years for the news they received in November: their radiation detector was safely installed on the International Space Station and had begun transmitting large batches of data back to Earth.

OSU to host U.S. Physicists’ Tournament Dec. 18-19

Jared Austin-Harris, an Oklahoma State University Department of Physics Ph.D. candidate, has been named an Honorary Commencement Marshal for OSU’s fall 2023 graduate commencement ceremony. Austin-Harris is one of four graduate students selected for the role.

Department of Physics awarded $1.8M from U.S. Department of Energy

CAS associate dean Borunda named American Physical Society fellow

On Oct. 19, the American Physical Society announced its newest cohort of fellowship recipients. Among them was Oklahoma State University physics associate professor Dr. Mario Borunda. Borunda, who serves as an associate dean and senior inclusion officer for the College of Arts and Sciences, is one of just 10 APS fellows ever selected from OSU.
