Afghan refugee finds new home at OSU, aims to bring education back to Afghanistan

Tayyab Ghazniwal arrived at OSU prior to the spring semester as part of the school’s Afghan Family Project — a partnership between the university and Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma (CCEOK) to provide a new home for Afghan refugees. The project aims to give hope to people who endured the trauma of seeing their country fall to the Taliban and were left with no one to turn to.
