OSU Library Receives Grant to Digitize Flying Farmers Footage

The National Film Preservation Foundation awarded the Oklahoma State University Library a $20,000 grant to digitize and preserve 1940s footage of the second annual convention of the National Flying Farmers as well as Farm and Home Week conferences held on OAMC’s campus.

IMLS Grant Supports Library OER Project

Oklahoma State University, East Central University, Redlands Community College, and the Oklahoma Council of Online Learning Excellence have partnered on a three-year project to develop a reliable methodology to assess the efficacy of open education resources on lifelong learning competencies. The project is made possible through a $428,300 National Leadership Grant for Libraries from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

NEH Awards OSU Library nearly $70,000

Teresa Miller to be inducted into Oklahoma Writers Hall of Fame

Oklahoma author and educator, Teresa Miller, will be celebrated as the 2019-2020 inductee into the Oklahoma Writers Hall of Fame on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. in the OSU-Tulsa Auditorium. Author P.C. Cast will make introductions and open the night for a conversation between novelist Rilla Askew and Miller. A reception for guests and former inductees will follow.

OSU wins Elizabeth B. Mason award for Chilocco History Project

The Oral History Association awarded its 2019 Elizabeth B. Mason Large Project Award to the OSU Library’s Oklahoma Oral History Research Program. This is the third Mason Award for OSU, the only institution to win this national honor more than once. This year, the OOHRP was recognized for its recent Chilocco History Project.
