Dr. Tessa Recendes has always been fascinated with sports, both as an athlete while growing up and later working in the sports business world. After graduating from college, her interest led her to a job with Major League Soccer, where she worked in sales and community development for the professional team in Denver and later in Dallas.

The conference offers participants the latest in science content, teaching strategy and research to enhance and expand professional growth.

Tomko Wins First Place and People’s Choice at College 3MT Competition

Patrick Tomko, a doctoral student in health and human performance, won first place, the People’s Choice Award and a $600 cash prize at the College of Education, Health and Aviation’s Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition on Oct. 24.

PhD Student Tara Dalinger Honored for Innovation

Oklahoma State University student Tara Dalinger was the winner of the 2017 UCO EXCEL Awards. Dalinger is pursuing her Ph. D. in Education with an option in Educational Technology at OSU and is a faculty member at the University of Central Oklahoma.

OSU Sexual Health Research Lab Presents at Annual Meeting

Members of the Sexual Health Research Lab at Oklahoma State University traveled to the 2015 national annual meeting of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality held in Albuquerque, N.M., November 12-15. While at the meeting, students and faculty attended various sessions related to sexual health, discussed future collaborations between Oklahoma State University and other institutions, and highlighted the important work completed by the Lab.
