CHE team publishes findings on breakthrough soil moisture monitoring

Researchers in the School of Chemical Engineering in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University have developed an innovative computational method to greatly improve the speed, accuracy and reliability of soil moisture modeling.

Three CEAT graduate students shine in university-wide Three Minute Thesis competition

Oklahoma State University College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology graduate students Vishesh Bhadariya, Bunty Tomar and Suman Poudel rose to the top during the CEAT portion of the Three Minute Thesis competition hosted by the OSU Graduate College. They competed against first against their CEAT peers, then took part in the university-wide portion of the competition.

PETE researchers publish paper on how hydraulic fractures propagate and interact with discontinuities

Dr. Hunjoo Lee, an assistant professor in the School of Chemical Engineering, and Vishesh Bhadariya, a research assistant on Lee’s team, published a paper in Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering titled “Strain Field Analysis of Fracture Interaction with Bedding Planes and Implications for Height Growth in Layered Rocks.”

More Clout, Less Drought: Jiang's NSF research looks to bring digital agriculture from soil to STEM

Dr. Zheyu Jiang, an assistant professor in the School of Chemical Engineering, specializes in AI and digital agriculture, and is undertaking a research project to lessen the impacts of drought in the U.S., which experiences an estimated loss of $30 billion annually. For these efforts, Jiang has been awarded the CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation.
