Staff Advisory Council recognizes 2025 Distinguished Service Award recipients
The Oklahoma State University Staff Advisory Council recognized 26 nominees for the Distinguished Service Award on Thursday inside the Student Union’s Starlight Terrace.
The summit provided staff with career readiness information through interactive breakout sessions and panels. Its goal was to show how the broad range of perspectives throughout the OSU staff network can have an impact on interactions with students as they prepare to enter the workforce.
As director of career development and success, Ebert will lead the career and employer development efforts for OSU, its students and alumni, as well as serve as an advocate for and liaison to career services staff in the academic colleges and other areas of campus.
Each spring, as part of National Student Employment Week, OSU honors student employees who are nominated by their supervisors and selects a Student Employee of the Year who best embodies the contributions and achievements of students who work while attending post-secondary school.
OSU Career Services has announced Dr. Jeff Edwards, department head and professor of plant and soil sciences in the Ferguson College of Agriculture, as the recipient of the 2021 Career Champion award.
Victor Letbetter ('88 computer science) visited with a company recruiter while at OSU and it turned it into a career developing simulation software for the F-16 Fighting Falcon and supported both avionic hardware labs and pure simulation and demonstration labs for the F-35 Lighting II combat aircraft.
