A New Era for the Geothermal Heat Pump Industry

The International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) and the Geothermal Exchange Organization (GEO) are pleased to announce the confirmation of the transfer of IGSHPA from Oklahoma State University (OSU). Following a June vote by the OSU Board of Regents to approve the transfer of IGSHPA to GEO, the GEO Board of Directors, its staff, and OSU worked tirelessly to develop a plan for a smooth transition. The result of these efforts has created a partnership of trade associations representing the ground source/geothermal heat pump industry, poised to become an integral part of federal and state energy policies going forward.

2020 Allen Scholars announced - Small town students with big ambition

Each year, the W.W. Allen Scholars Program in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) awards more than $135,000 in scholarships, enrichment activities, professional development and national and/or international travel, followed by full tuition and housing for a master’s degree at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. Up to two new awards are made each year. This year, Kaylee Rolph and Rae-Anne Williamson were selected as the 2020 W.W. Allen Scholars.

Dr. Afshin J. Ghajar was selected as a Fellow of American Society of Thermal and Fluids Engineers (ASTFE) for his outstanding contributions to the field of Thermal and Fluids Engineering. Due to the unexpected outburst of Covid-19 pandemics, the presentation of the 2020 new Fellow certificates has been postponed and will be conducted at the next ASTFE Conference in New Orleans in March 2021.
