Treating Animals During COVID-19

Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, like everyone else across America, is changing how it functions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, the OSU Veterinary Medical Hospital has changed its protocols on treating pets and livestock. While the hospital is available 24/7 for emergency care, it is not currently accepting routine appointments.

Oklahoma State University’s (OSU) Diagnostic Laboratory has completed its validation and verification procedures and is now operational as an approved COVID-19 diagnostic lab, dramatically increasing Oklahoma’s testing capabilities. The lab does not test individuals for the virus, but rather analyzes samples sent by health care providers.
