Parsing COVID-19 data

An analysis of digital health records from thousands of COVID-19 patients admitted to hospitals around the country has led to the development of technology to predict the risk of death for those with COVID. Researchers at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Systems Innovation (CHSI) in Tulsa and Stillwater are using digital health data to build predictive models of disease risk that could improve treatment and outcomes.

A global honor

Dr. Ramesh Sharda was named a 2019 Fellow of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) at its International Conference in Information Systems in Munich, Germany, in December. Oklahoma State University professor Dr. Miriam McGaugh is an expert in analyzing large amounts of data and recognizing patterns within it. While an epidemiologist for the Oklahoma State Department of Health, she used health care data to create community public health initiatives. Now the assistant professor of professional practice in business analytics in the Spears School of Business is taking on the tragedy of human trafficking in the United States.

An early collaboration

OSU, Redlands agreement simplifies transfer opportunities for community college students
