OSU commencement ceremonies set for May 10-11

Oklahoma State University will graduate an estimated 4,500 students this spring and summer, and more than 3,500 are planning to participate in one of six commencement ceremonies May 10-11 at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Oklahoma State University environmental science major Rainee DeRoin loves all things water. For the past two years the 21-year-old junior has monitored seven small watersheds — including lands that have eastern redcedar, prairie and switchgrass — at OSU’s 1,820-acre Cross Timbers Experimental Range southwest of Stillwater as part of a long-running research study.

OSU speakers forum to discuss Vietnam War

The Vietnam War and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be key topics of discussion April 19 at the Oklahoma State University history department’s speakers forum The Vietnam War: Contested Legacies and Memories. The free event is scheduled for 3:30-5 p.m. in Room 035 of South Murray Hall on the Stillwater campus and features three military history experts.
