For the third year Oklahoma State University will host young entrepreneurs from across Africa for the Mandela Washington Fellowship Institute for Young African Leaders. Hosted by the Spears School of Business and the College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources (CASNR), 25 Mandela Washington Fellows will spend six weeks this summer at OSU attending classes and leadership programs and interacting with Oklahoma entrepreneurs for practical know-how about how U.S. businesses work.

Tim Baghurst Awarded NCAA Research Grant

OSU faculty member awarded volunteer service award

An Oklahoma State University faculty member was awarded the President’s Volunteer Award, a national honor presented by Winrock International in recognition of volunteer services. Patricia Rayas-Duarte, a cereal chemist for OSU’s Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center, received this honor for contributing more than 110 hours of volunteer service on international assignments in Senegal and demonstrating how local citizens can truly make a difference in today’s world.

EHA Alum Receives Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award to Canada as Research Chair in Aboriginal Studies

Oklahoma State University alumna Virginia Drywater-Whitekiller has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award to Canada in Aboriginal Studies. She will conduct research at Vancouver Island University, BC, as part of a project designed to explore indigenous cultural resilience student supports in higher education pathways.
