OSU's Imraan Faruque research recognized to keep beehive buzzing

The Office of Naval Research (ONR) recently recognized Imraan Faruque, assistant professor in mechanical and aerospace engineering and director of the autonomous physics laboratory at OSU, as one of 25 awardees of the 2019 Young Investigator Program (YIP). OSU-USRI performs first-of-its-kind BVLOS flights

Oklahoma State University - Unmanned Systems Research Institute (OSU-USRI) conducted its first Beyond Visual Line of Site (BVLOS) research test flights on Dec. 18. The team operated unmanned aircraft within the national airspace system (NAS) at distances beyond the visual site of the pilot at the controls.
