FAPC honors food science graduate students with fellowship

Oklahoma State University’s Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Centered honored two graduate students with the Stanley E. Gilliland Memorial Fellowship in Food Science, providing $1,000 toward each recipient’s education efforts. Joyjit Saha, food science Ph.D. student, and Tony Kountoupis, food science master’s student, received the awards during the FAPC Research Symposium Feb. 26.

OSU earns 8th Tree Campus USA designation

Oklahoma State University has been recognized by Oklahoma Forestry Services and the Oklahoma Urban and Community Forestry Council for achieving national certification — the Tree Campus USA designation — from the Arbor Day Foundation. It’s the eighth year in a row OSU has earned the certification.

OSU hospitality and tourism management program fits with the Spears School of Business

The Oklahoma State University School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) is set to join the OSU Spears School of Business since the OSU/A&M Board of Regents approved the move on March 1. Previously a part of the College of Human Sciences, the school is expected to create more synergy for collaborative educational efforts between HTM and business degree programs. The move takes effect July 1.
